Message from FYC’s Race Committee:
FYC’s Flowers’ Cove scheduled for this weekend (August 11th and 12th) will not be held in its usual two day/overnight format.
Instead, we’re going to try a new race format. On Saturday, August 11, 2018 FYC will be holding its inaugural “Endurance Race.” It’s going to be an extended/lengthened one day (afternoon) race around Grand Lake. The race course will be selected based on wind and weather conditions, but we’re hoping to race at least 10 nautical miles.
As usual, the Skipper’s meeting will be held on the Douglas Harbour Wharf at 1200h, with the first start time likely around 1315h. All are welcome, so come give our new race a try!
