Social – Welcome to Spring

The Race and Social Committees of the Fredericton Yacht Club are hosting a “Welcome to Spring” reception on May 12, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  at Grimross Brewery, 600 Bishop Drive, Fredericton.  This is a great opportunity to put down the scrapers, brushes and wrenches for an evening of socializing with fellow sailors.

We will take the opportunity to give you a quick run-down of the upcoming race and social season at FYC.  We are also inviting fellow sailors from Mactaquac Sailing Association and the local chapter of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron.

We have arranged for a tour of Grimross Brewery for those who are interested in how they transform weeds into the glorious “yellow fizzy water” as owner Stephen Dixon affectionately labels it.

You will be able to purchase beverages at the bar and FYC will provide light munchies.

So, mark May 12 in your calendar and pass the word around.  Launch is just around the corner and this will be a great opportunity to take a short break from frantic preparations to relax with you sailor friends!
